Sunny Humber joined the team at Mountain Midwifery Care as a Registered Midwife in 2019 after spending her final student placement with us. She graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University.

Sunny remains involved at McMaster by helping with clinical and emergency skills workshops, and is a clinical preceptor for students of the Midwifery Education Program. She is also a member of the Midwifery Quality of Care Committee at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.

Sunny loves how unique and transformative the experience of pregnancy and birth is, and feels blessed to play a small role in this journey for so many families. She strives to provide holistic, inclusive, supportive and informative care with the goal of preserving the normalcy of pregnancy and birth. Sunny’s off-call time is spent running, rock climbing, visiting cafes, travelling, and (if we’re being honest) a healthy dose of Netflix!
