Angela Reitsma (she/her) is a Registered Midwife and a founding partner at Mountain Midwifery Care. Angela currently serves as the Interim Chief of the Department of Midwifery at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and as the Chair of the Midwifery Quality of Care Committee. Through these positions, she collaborates with leaders in obstetrics, paediatrics, and nursing. Angela enjoys attending births, especially appreciating the value of one-to-one care in labour and providing information and reassurance to new parents in the first six weeks. Angela lives with her family in downtown Hamilton, and you might see her cycling to the hospital at any time of day or night. When she’s off-call, Angela loves camping at her favourite provincial parks.
