Sunny joined Mountain Midwifery Care as a Registered Midwife in the spring of 2019 after graduating from the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University.

She remains actively connected to McMaster, supporting clinical and emergency skills workshops and serving as a clinical preceptor for Midwifery Education Program students. Sunny is also a member of the Midwifery Quality of Care Committee at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.

Sunny is inspired by the uniqueness and transformative nature of pregnancy and birth, and feels honoured to be part of this journey alongside growing families. She is committed to providing holistic, supportive, and informative care, with a focus on preserving the normalcy of pregnancy and birth.

Sunny’s own son was born at home into the hands of MMC midwives, and she looks forward to welcoming baby number two in the winter of 2025. Much of her off-call time is spent with family and friends and staying active at the gym, track and on local trails!
